The Atomic VANTAGE 97 C is one of a large All Mountain Vantage range, but this model does not have any Titanium. So on the snow we have a softer, more flexible and subsequently less precise ski.
They deform a lot when you put pressure on, especially on the tips which have a tendency to be fickle.
Carving is really easy to initiate, but more difficult to continue: the last part of the turn is more difficult to finish, the curve can have extra added segments. Paradoxically on a groomed slope if you load the Atomic VANTAGE 97 C and you ski at a sustained speed, you can stick the skis to the snow and get turns on the edges.
At average speeds carving is not as easy, or neat. These skis are noisy, their structure and materials like to be heard!
Off piste sequencing short skidding turns is simple and the radius varies with ease too.
The Atomic VANTAGE 97 C are designed for skiers who aren’t necessarily super experts or very sporty who want skis that are versatile, with limited performance, especially in carving, but that are easily accessible.
