Authentic Nutrition Authentic Booster

Before starting the actual test for this Authentic Booster drink, it is necessary to put it into context. We have tried everything available regarding food and drinks. Nothing surprising, long distance runners have all (more or less) been there and done that. We all believe we can just use water, and with search for better performance we find all this literature about sports nutrition – that convinces us of the virtues of isotonic drinks, powders, gels, etc. After then suffering the consequences of various gastric horrors, we return to a more “traditional” diet and more “basic” drinks.

The Authentic Booster has a rather “punchy” packaging and a catchy name: “Booster”, we wondered if, once again, we would be confronted with one of those chemical creations that twist your guts at the end of 100-kilometers.

So it was with hesitation that we filled our bottles (bike) and flasks (trail running). We discovered a digestible product whose taste is light. We tested the green apple flavour: it is slightly acid and not too strong in taste. No chemical taste. After several bottles, the Authentic Booster gave no digestive disorders. Of course this doesn’t mean that this drink is for everyone, it just gives a general indication. We dosed it slightly less than the manufacturer’s recommendations, especially in hot weather.

Made without colorants or preservatives, and gluten-free. It consists of maltodextrin, fructose, aroma (except the “neutral” flavour), citric acid and potassium citrate, salt and vitamins C, B1, B2, B3 and B6.

In terms of performance, we didn’t notice a “Booster” effect: yet more a smooth performance. No high or low in the action, but linear energy. Of course, it depends on each individual but that’s what we noted.
