Here are this season’s Black Crows lightweight Divus performance skis.
They are the top-of-the-range piste skisthat also lean towards all mountain use. They pivot super-easily, the tail and tips work without resistance. You can ski in an upright position, which is really enjoyable on wide pistes, in moguls or in the forest next to the slopes. And in the event of urgency you can easily turn the Black Crows Divus crossways and slow down.
As soon as you turn them onto their edges, the skiing is pleasing on piste because the radius isn’t too large, so zipping in and out of the snow canons and other skiers or obstacles is child’s play.
You can reduce the radius but if you push them too much the Divus lose their grip and you are no longer 100% on the edges, so you are more into a skidding turn.
They are skied more on the rear than forward. The latter doesn’t like powerful pressure. If you aren’t skiing too fast and the snow is good these are very good skis, but as soon as the slope steepens, if it’s icy and speed increases, the tips chatter. With this you need to be vigilant because you wonder if the Divus will lose their bite in demanding conditions.
They are beautifully finished, the tips have metal inserts and a very aesthetically formed tail shape. Just a small remark, as the tails are triangular in shape, when you lean them against a wall, they have a tendency to fall over…
They glide reasonably well, nothing more.
The classic top sheet can mark easily from the edges knocking against them.
The Black Crows are pleasant, lightweight and performant, designed for expert skiers who enjoy groomed slopes and want to have pleasure without being taken by surprise by carving destroyers!
