There’s no doubt that BV Sport knows how to use fabrics to produce products that are generally durable and with “compression” DNA.
The CSX Pro shorts are no exception to this rule. You immediately note the top class weaving and assemblies of the different panels each with their own specific mission. BV Sport does not do things by half measures when manufacturing, we could blame them for more weight but never in strength and technicality.
There are several things that come to mind when using the BV SPORT CSX Pro for the first time. They slide on easily despite the small size of the unpacked product. They quickly adjust and you aren’t afraid to tug on the fabric: nails won’t catch any threads, they’re tough. Same for going through bushes or undergrowth, it is unlikely they will be damaged.
You instantly feel the compression effects. The feeling is not oppressive we found it was just supportive (however, do be careful about different body mass sizes). Lifting your thighs in a slope poses no problem: no limitations or movement constraints.
In areas subject to variations in volume or friction in effort: the thighs, groin, etc. the shorts have roomy pleats. They give a unique look and you gain in comfort.
Overall, we really appreciated the comfort/support combi that these shorts provided. Before wearing them we were skeptical about their thickness and weight (180g in size M). But in use, they are a great product.
The knee area is very soft and not tight around the tendons. On the thighs there’s a grip with futuristic shapes so your hands don’t slip in the uphill climbs. It seem like a detail but it’s very effective.
Breathability is good and the drying speed. They are a little warmer than some very ventilated shorts but they don’t necessarily have compression.
Gels can be attached to the waist thanks to six integral elastic housings. At the back, there’s a small pocket for sliding keys, or a cereal bar into, but not a phone. Except for keys, we barely used this storage space.
The SPORT CSX Pro BV provides efficient but unobtrusive compression. We liked its toughness and manufacture quality. A technical and durable product.
The CXC Pro shorts are available in a classic cheaper version: 65 euros instead of 79.95.
