A bit of info: the Compressport sleeves are made from Polyamide, Elasthane and Polyester. Mine arrived in glorious fluorescent pink – impossible to go unnoticed and a nice bit of color makes you feel cheerful, when you are 75km into an Ultra and your head hangs low, WHAM !! This bright color cheers you up!
I tested them on a 110km ultra trail race with 6000m+ elevation climb and descent. I used a calf sleeve on the right leg and left the other free, at the end of the race the results were clear…
I was running in 30°C heat, and yet I didn’t feel hot, the sleeve remained comfortable throughout my run, and additionally it also protected my leg from various branches and scrapes whilst going downhill.
The sensation of muscle fatigue never came, and the results were clear when I removed the sleeve. (see photo). My right leg was perfectly defined, no water retention, no type of swelling. My left leg where I had not worn a compression sleeve was less defined and showed swelling, visual proof of their benefits.
These R2 compression sleeves can also be used for recovery. They help relieve muscle fatigue, improve circulation and enable the muscles to eliminate any toxins in the system more quickly.
