This is an excellent precision boot for exploiting all mountain skis, especially for pushing hard on the skis edges. Its weight is carefully dosed so it isn’t too light giving you good security in all conditions (especially the descents). There isn’t a lot of articulation but it’s enough for free touring slopes. It does not have Lowe Thec inserts. You can adjust the flex using the BTR key at the back of the upper. Here you can also click from ski mode to uphill/walk mode using a very good cord with a plastic end for changing the mode even whilst wearing gloves.
The upside-down hook on the toe is very well conceived it remains closed and keeps forefoot precision in the uphill.
This hook enables you to adjust the width across the toes in three positions 100 – 101 – 102mm. The shell is graduated.
The inner sock is lined with polar fleece, comfortable and firm so you do not lose any precision, but it’s not that warm.
We really liked the designer hooks and the plate attachment is very stylish. Very good outer sole for walking, deep ridges that grip in all circumstances.
This is an excellent boot.
