Fischer have redesigned their free touring model, Hannibal, it is now available in just one size instead of two, a width of 96mm for a length of 177cm.
The previous models were for skiers looking for a wide and light ski that would go anywhere. Its performance in pivoting and skidding turns was pretty good, but it lacked a bit of stability when at higher speeds and especially on hard snow. It also lacked the ability to ski in a more modern way from edge to edge.
This new model fulfills all these criteria. It is both safer in skidding turns due to having a better-distributed flex and a tip that has firmer torsional flex.
You can now turn using the edges, its grip is satisfactory and technical skiers will not be disappointed at its capabilities. It floats fabulously and pivots easily in deep snow and also has good comfort in rough snow.
