These ergonomically designed sunglasses are for sports like triathlon, biking and running. We mainly tested these Aerospeed out biking and running.
It is the lens that has the most distinguishing points: lightweight, exceptional reactivity and adaptability when going from dark zones to bright sunlight, no distortion, visual details and anti-fogging. The photochromic lens goes from protection 1 to 3. The glasses cover your face well and you don’t feel a strand of air flow across the eyes when going at top speed.
Depending on lighting conditions from time to time you can have slight lateral reflections, but nothing disturbing. You can see the fixation pads on the left and right at the top. The central part above the nosepiece is invisible to the eyes in the field of vision. Why didn’t they respect the continuity of the lens, why did they add this large plastic piece at the top? Maybe for strength purposes and durability. Smith, Briko and Oakley do better.
The Aerospeed sit well on your face, the nose piece adapts to your anatomy. The frame and lens are very lightweight, barely 28g, so you quickly forget you are wearing them. In the action, running they don’t fog up and any perspiration evacuates at the base of the lens.
At the end of the arms there are flexible inserts that we thought could be a bit grippier, especially when you slide the glasses on top of your head.
These glasses are designed for large faces. They come with a fabric bag and a semi-rigid protective case, very well-designed and just the right size…
Their undeniable quality is down to the lens that adapts to many different lighting conditions. Lightweight, protective (from wind, UV rays and of course any eventual projectiles), they also have an original design.
