The K2 iKonic is a really nice ride that doesn’t tire out your legs. It’s lightweight and you have the impression it won’t hold up, that it’ll vibrate, but not at all. It bites the ice and grips steep slopes with pleasure. The tail isn’t too stiff, heavier skiers will find its limits. For an average size skier the iKonic has a good level of performance. You can enjoy fluid lines on long turns. It’s difficult to reduce the arc when carving. On-piste carving is good, but you need to plant your feet correctly – there’s not a lot of margin for error.
The K2 Ikonic has a look of quality even if it’s a bit “déjà vu”. It has a metal tip and a nipped in waist. It pivots easily and skid turns easily too. It responds well if you have to suddenly cut the speed. At top speed the ski is glued to the ground and stays secure in its trajectory.
This ski loves going straight down. It also swallows up hard snow, steep slopes and tight or wide skidding turns. Designed for a good level skier who wants to ski without too much thought. The K2 offers a very satisfying experience. It’s a classic ski that is a convincing ride. The good filtration in choppy snow protects your joints.
