At first glance the quality of this asymmetric ski leaves a bit to be desired; but the K2 Marksman delivers as soon as you launch into your first turn, it skid carves a dream. It’s playful, the flexible tip and tail allows you to have fun on any type of terrain, in drive or reverse.
The double rocker makes it surf like a veritable Californian dream even though it’s not a very wide ski. It bounces back and pivots fast between the trees, easy to control all the time. Take care at high speeds on damaged terrain, the vibrations can get a little hair raising !
On piste at a good speed carving wide turns is fun. Once the snow is harder it’s more complicated. It’s a very multi-purpose ski that’s easy to use and goes anywhere. It embodies the same feeling as the Pep Fujas (the back country freeride model). We swapped the skis round to see if the asymmetry changed anything, we didn’t notice much difference, except the visual effect was a bit weird !
