The technical specifications for the Nordica 130 Pro Strider are many and reveal a list of high quality materials: Grilamid, Michelin sole, Primaloft inner sock, etc. designed for narrower feet it has exceptional foothold, precision and warmth.
This model is designed for free touring and so you can go hell for leather! Its 130 flex is coupled with very powerful lateral transmission making it a very reactive boot. You don’t lose any energy and piloting on ski edges is incredibly precise.
Foothold is exact, so much so you barely need to tighten the hooks. This Nordica skis practically like a top of the range alpine boot, except for the upper, which is a little higher. It has a very easy to use ski/walk system that doesn’t block and the walk mode is very comfortable.
Making the boot lighter has been pushed to its limits, the tightening strap is lighter and tougher, lightweight strap buckle and fabulously designed technical buckles. The buckles have been lightened the maximum possible and are also beautifully conceived: the metallic buckle is very thin but ultra strong. The tightening system is easy to use and efficient.
The Primaloft® inner sock is very warm. The only hiccup is if you have large ankles, they will rub very quickly. The Michelin sole has excellent grip. And the cherry on the cake is the Dynafit inserts! How could this boot get any better?!
The Nordica is simply the must have if you are an expert free touring skier…. Or even just a skier who would like the best boot available.
