The Nordica Enforcer 104 Free are fat, serious and tough to pilot. After seeing the specs we thought we’d be fighting with a dominant guest. But no! First surprise they pivot easily. One tester even dared to say like a “mini-ski” to describe it pivoting! The tail is lifted so they have a rocker at the rear and front. A real delight on groomed slopes or off-piste.
In deep snow the Nordica Enforcer 104 Free lift out rapidly. No traps, no tips crossing with these. They shine by their fluidity, you can let go, enjoy the ride and allow the long wide turns travel at speed beneath your feet. They stay above any problems. They have a wonderful feeling against the snow, kinda soft and silky. They absorb mounds of snow, the tips work their duty and no rigidness underfoot; the flex is well-adjusted.
Even over choppy snow the Nordica Enforcer 104 Free filter, there’s no vibrations travelling back up into your legs, and they pivot easily. In the forest all is well, like bumps, so long as it’s not too frozen.
Once on a groomed slope astonishingly they pivot with ease. They are easy on soft snow all turns are generally skidding turns. If you try and carve you will reach a 17.5m radius. So you need ot be able to be skilled at managing wide turns on runs. You quickly gain speed and as you can’t really vary the radius when carving they can quickly be difficult to control. If you do want to reduce the radius, stop carving and skid. On blue runs that are well groomed you can remain on the edges all the time, it’s magic.
The Nordica Enforcer 104 Free are light underfoot and slide well. They have a classic look without upper edges so they suffer a little with knocks.
These a big powder skis, which are enjoyable to ski and can almost do everything, except carving on hard snow.
