These ski boots were a unanimous success for all our testers – the Best! The integrated heating system and all their other qualities make these boots the undeniable essential for all female skiers who appreciate comfort and warmth.
The best part of these boots is the fact that Rossignol have integrated the heating system into the boots. They are ready to go! No fuss, no preparation, no hiccups – Full Gaz!
Simply press the “+” or “-“ button at the top of the liner to raise or lower the temperature. The cursor has three levels. Level 1 was tested in December when it was really cold. The battery lasts for two days with ample heat. How can you live without these when you’ve tasted the comfort!?
The batteries (one on either side) are recharged using a cable with USB connection. The charger is provided. The cable splits in two to connect to the inside of each boot (at the top of the collar).
The boots can be recharged whilst driving, using the cigarette lighter (adapter required) or any other USB socket, connectivity in nearly all recent cars. The cable is long enough to leave the boots on the floor … if the socket is not too far away …
Between a “normal” boot and this Pure Pro Heat, there is no difference in weight despite the addition of batteries. The diffusion of heat comes from the sole. On the other hand, the insole tends to come up when you lift your foot out (same problem with Lange): it remains deformed inside the boot. When you put your foot back in, you find a hard spot under the soles of your feet, which disappears after a while. Rossignol should provide slightly stiffer soles.
Putting on the boots is easy, your foot slips easily into the Pure Pro Heat, even when the boots have spent the night in the trunk of the car! The plastic shell is flexible and easy to handle. We appreciated the liner made from merino wool, both warm, soft and stops bad smells.
The buckles are ergonomic and have micrometric settings (all 4), they operate without any problem: their shape is really well-designed. No risk of breaking a fingernail or forcing too much.
The volume of the toe-box is interesting, your toes are not imprisoned or compressed. Once closed, the boots are precise: a good mix between comfort and precision. These boots are for skiers who are not necessarily technical, yet if they do want to push it and are not necessarily hefty in size, you can attack with pressure and without too much deformation of the shell, you even keep good precision. Also great carving.
The sole underfoot has great grip for walking. There is lateral adjustment of the canting. The collar does not rise too high and respects the anatomical shape of women’s calves.
These Rossignol Pure Heat Pro easily deserve the FIRST Award for an excellent product. The integrated heating system is undeniably a success as well as their overall aesthetics. A stunning product.
