The 600 is the logical descendant of the Pursuit range after the Pursuit 800. So, the question is – should I buy the 800 or the 600? Our answer is below:
Ok let’s be honest, the difference between the 600 and the 800 is not that huge. The 600 you get a lot for your money. The designer hasn’t cutback on materials, particularly the tail that is full of energy and noticeably present. Just the ski tip has less wham compared to the 800, if you lean too far forward the tip flattens and you lose performance.
All the radii can be varied by playing with weight distribution fore and aft, but also with angulation if you have enough technical whizz.
The ski structure doesn’t vibrate at top speed even if the sensations are not exactly the same as the 800.
Carving is legitimate, but its most important advantage comes in its ability to forgive those little skiing errors and it doesn’t close you into a particular type of radius.
Skidding turns are easily done because it’s super easy to pivot.
The 600 is a Stylish looking ski with stunning transparency and high quality materials.
There is a metal tip on the entire Pursuit range. The tail insert wears out quickly if it gets bashed.
So, which one should you choose between the 600 and the 800? For most skiers the 600 is largely sufficient. It is an enthusiastic ski in all domains. If money is no problem and you have the technical prowess necessary, don’t hesitate – go for the top of the top, the Pursuit 800.
