The Rossignol Seek 7 is a wide ski that reassuringly grips well, and solid on hard snow. It is easy to pivot and fabulous in skidding turns. It can go fast as it’s weighty underfoot, but does need tough handling to carve turns.
It sits well in its range, touring/piste type, lightweight yet with enough weight to be reassuring. It’s worth fitting it with lightweight bindings, reasonably technical boots that aren’t too soft to get the most out of the skis. It can ski fast and retain its grip. It’s easy to skid. The small rocker and slightly stiff tail ensures longitudinal stability.
We would’ve liked it to be easier to grip the edge on initiating the turn with a slightly better tip pressure when entering into the turn, and more fluidity.
The radius is a bit long, but it is still a good ski more suited to touring than others in the same range. The lightweight tip enables it to lift up out of shallow snow. In choppy snow it is sufficiently comfortable, not too tiring, but not that much cushioning either!
