“These trousers are really comfortable to wear”: was the first remark after using these trousers for several weeks. The fabric is stretchy, it moves with your body. The inside of the trousers are lined with a soft warm lining, so you don’t need to wear undergarments.
The quality fabrics, Primaloft Silver (60g/m2) and Pertex Shield Plus contribute to these trousers being a good product but unfortunately the accessories and certain details change the final judgement a little.
At the waist there is no belt only two pieces of Velcro® You cannot tighten the waist here as if you pull too much the Velcro® has nowhere to grip … so the trousers slip. There are loops for a belt so you can always wear one, except there aren’t enough loops, two at the front and two at the back, none on the hips so the belt just rises up. So the braces are a must, which are fortunately delivered with these trousers!
The front zip has a press stud above it and inside a metal loop clip – which bends with use. The two lateral pockets have waterproof zips, one of which broke after 8-days use, and we lost the curser.
The snow barrier at the ankles is well-designed, the correct size to easily slide over ski boots. A section is made out of breathable fabric.
Over all, these trousers are warm, you never feel cold. Uniquely for piste skiing the breathability is good.
The Flowtec system is well conceived. You can ventilate the trousers thanks to two “gills” on the thighs. The air enters the trousers, and slides between the two textile layers but doesn’t directly get in contact with your skin. The sensation is freshness without being cold.
The fit is very good, wide enough yet contemporary. Despite certain details that need improvement the testers recommend these trousers due to their amazing comfort.
