An exceptional all mountain ski, that is just as good if not better than the Salomon XDR 84 Ti in every domain. You get the feeling there’s slightly less torsional rigidity, due to it being wider underfoot and you notice it traversing slopes on hard snow, but what the hell.
On piste it carves as well as the 84 you can even vary the curves better. You do of course need angulation and pressure to deform the skis. Great grip. Turn initiation is mega easy and pivoting in difficult snow is a piece of cake. The tip performs well and has reassuring lift. Off piste you don’t get too much vibration in the legs, it filters well, very nice and keeps its precision. The flex is fluid and coherent all along the edge.
Tight turns are possible but it prefers longer ones. Skidding turns are very easy to engage. A very easy, versatile and fun ski for anyone to enjoy. The waist has energy so could be limiting for larger built skiers.
