SKULLCANDY METHOD® ACTIVE

The Skullcandy wireless earbuds are a good alternative to wireless headphones (which are easily lost) and those with a rather annoying cord for outdoor sports.

The Skullcandy Method® Active have a wire which passes onto the nape of the neck (from earbud to earbud) but connected by Bluetooth® to the broadcasting device. You have the reassurance of finding them more easily if they fall out your ears. In use, this solution is also very practical because the wire does not pull on the earbuds and you don’t need to hide it under your clothes to avoid them snagging on things (false movements, branches etc …). The loop that goes over the nape of the neck is less prone to tension when you bend your neck … the Skullcandy Method® Active are very practical for trail running, cycling and hiking. By They aren’t suitable for skiing because they are too big to fit under a ski helmet.

The quite large remote control on the left side doesn’t pull on the earpiece. Skullcandy cleverly thought of putting a small relief logo on the back of the remote control, right in the middle: so you can immediately find the center and then press, by deduction, the correct key. Obviously that doesn’t work with gloves on.

The keys are nice, quite soft and precise. The sound is slightly delayed so you don’t jump out of your skin.

The sound quality, the major criterion in choosing headphones, is lacking. We are sorely lacking in bass and we can’t enjoy a good metal band: it lacks roundness, richness and definition. The sound is abrupt and music lovers are very disappointed. You get fed up quick at full volume.

Getting started and syncing the Bluetooth® with the music player is a breeze. The earbuds hold and there are several tips to help you to customize the set-up according to your morphology.

One of the great qualities of these Skullcandy Method® Active is the “All Weather” manufacturing, which allows you to run in the rain with music without worrying at all about the integrity of the headphones.

While the Skullcandy Method® Active weighs only 17 grams, the autonomy is quite high: 10 hours. Charging is quick, you can have 2 hours of music after just 10 minutes of charging. Ideal when you realize, before you go running, that they have no battery. You have time to get ready while they charge for at least 2 hours of playlist.

In the event you are unlucky and you lose them, the Skullcandy Method® Active are equipped with an integrated Tile tracker.

The Skullcandy Method® Active are Bluetooth® earbuds resistant to bad weather and especially watertight against heavy rain. Very practical to use and good in your ears, they reassuring because they are practically impossible to lose. But the very underdeveloped sound, ok that is a reflection of the low price, limit them to occasional use.
