This 361° model is one of the most exciting products in the brand’s lineup—on several counts.
Let’s start with the work done on the midsole. It delivers generous cushioning paired with surprising responsiveness—yes, there’s real “pop” here. It reminded us a bit of the Asics Gel-Nimbus 25, though with less rocker and a firmer feel.
The 361° Centauri is a real pleasure to run in, especially for runners looking for that sweet spot between comfort and performance. It’s far from lifeless—it offers good impact absorption, especially when form starts to break down, while still allowing for a dynamic toe-off. The combination of midsole foam and a 9 mm drop helps drive the stride forward. Lateral precision drops a bit when heel striking, but it remains manageable.
At 288 grams in size 42.5, it feels light on the foot despite its generous ankle padding. Comfort is excellent throughout—no hotspots, friction zones, or creases in the forefoot.
Grip is in line with what you’d expect from a road shoe—minimalist but adequate for the surface.
And of course, the build quality is worth mentioning. The 361° Centauri is seamlessly constructed, using premium materials and precise assembly. It definitely feels like a high-end shoe.
