The Rudy Project Skermo goggle offers quality performance at an affordable price.
It’s not an oversized goggle, which makes it easy to wear under a helmet and well-suited to most face shapes — including smaller or female faces. However, this compact size comes at the cost of a slightly reduced field of view. The frame is also quite noticeable around the nose area.
The lens is versatile, adapting well to a variety of light conditions. It performs effectively on sunny days but also handles overcast weather reasonably well. We especially appreciated its ability to enhance contrast and detail. There was no noticeable distortion in the peripheral zones. Some light reflections did occur in certain conditions, but nothing too distracting.
Fog management is solid. That said, we haven’t yet tested it in wet snow conditions.
Comfort is very good, thanks to the dual-layer foam that provides a snug fit. The strap features three silicone strips that offer strong grip on a helmet. Strap adjustment is easy and precise.
