The Degré7 Sivin is both a protective and insulating jacket, featuring Primaloft insulation that allows for a relatively thin profile while still delivering high thermal performance.
The craftsmanship is meticulous, with refined stitching and premium materials. Notable details include 3D reinforcements on the shoulders and a sleek metallic Degré7 logo — elements that give the jacket a distinctive, high-end finish.
The cut is equally well executed, with a fitted waistline above the hips and an overall streamlined silhouette that flatters the body — ideal for a stylish look on the slopes. That said, the forearm area could be slightly more spacious to better accommodate glove cuffs under the sleeves. Similarly, the built-in wrist gaiters are quite snug, which can make it tricky to fit larger watches underneath.
One of the standout features of the Degré7 Sivin is the balance between comfort and warmth. The outer fabric moves naturally with the skier without being overly stretchy. For a relatively thin jacket, it provides impressive warmth.
In terms of protection, the Sivin performs very well, thanks not only to the quality of the materials but also to the well-designed, high collar. However, the hood is not helmet-compatible — it won’t fit over a ski helmet.
All the features you’d expect from a jacket at this technical level and price point are present: snow skirt, ski pass pocket, zipped hand pockets, goggle wipe, and robust Velcro wrist adjusters.
Waterproofing is solid, with the brand quoting a 20K/20K membrane. In real-world use, it held up well. The only weak point is the underarm zips, which are not waterproof and may allow some moisture in during wet snow or rain. Overall, the Degré7 Sivin leans more towards warmth than breathability. Layering needs to be well-managed to avoid overheating during high-intensity activity. The underarm vents are therefore very welcome. This jacket is ideal for very cold conditions, such as those in mid-winter (January, for instance).
