Atomic Redster G9 Revoshok S

FIRST

“A ski born from racing, made for the slopes”: that’s what it says on it.

So, with this Atomic Redster G9 Revoshok S, one might expect a demanding ski. Not at all. Yes, it’s a ski that allows for high speeds, but it retains an ease of pivot and, in general, a very interesting accessibility. You notice it has a long edge, but it doesn’t bother you. You don’t feel any weight on your feet or stiffness.

It’s a very enjoyable ski that never locks you into specific effects, especially not on the carved turn, and above all, it’s capable of skidding even if it requires a little skill: it’s very narrow underfoot.

It’s capable of accelerating to evolve very quickly under the feet of a skier comfortable with their technique. You quickly realize the tip taps a bit. Naturally, it has been softened compared to a pure racing product. If a heavier skier really loads it, it doesn’t slip away, but it loses a bit of effectiveness.

Even if you can rush down the slopes very quickly, it’s not strictly a racing ski, as one might have guessed. It’s perfect for an instructor who will appreciate the powerful grip. You can make big angles and carve the turn without any problem.

The Atomic Redster G9 Revoshok S isn’t particularly prone to understeering, which is very interesting because if you find yourself in rear imbalance, the tail is entirely manageable. You can control, adjust your pressures without being trapped and taken on curves you don’t want.

Another big positive point of the Atomic Redster G9 Revoshok S: its ability to change the turn radius. It remains within the medium/elongated radius, especially elongated. By working it front/back, you can obtain really different radii.

Its glide didn’t seem exceptional to us; it degraded quickly. Is it because of the preparation? The topsheet is solid, the ski has a nice metal tip. Racing design, a very well-built ski. It’s not especially heavy. A good product for going fast, but not only… A ski also usable on steep slopes for skidded/sliding turns.

A good ski for going fast, but not only… Stability, grip, and the possibility of varying the turn radius. A ski that combines performance and accessibility. A reference on the slopes. It earns the First award.
