The Rossignol Sender Soul 102 is a very good ski, we were about to say “another one” in the Rossignol/Dynastar freeride lineup.
It’s an easy, fluid ski that remains fully available to the skier. The Rossignol Sender Soul 102 is not tricky. Despite its accessibility, if you want to push it, it responds. If you want to ride on the edge, the ski rolls smoothly. The same goes for sliding sideways—this is perfectly possible. Medium turns with drifted edges are excellent. It’s a joy to ski in transformed spring snow, as well as in powder.
Small turns are possible, mostly in a drifted edge style. In carving, the Rossignol Sender Soul 102 is present as well, although it might be a little less energetic than some other skis. It’s great in forest skiing because it pivots easily. It never feels tricky.
The Rossignol Sender Soul 102 absorbs bumps and doesn’t transmit them back to your legs. Its rocker is well-balanced—not too much, just the right amount. It’s almost a versatile ski that also performs well on hard snow. Sure, it’s not designed for ice, as it’s a wide ski, but its performance is excellent.
The design of the Rossignol Sender Soul 102 doesn’t necessarily stand out, and it doesn’t reflect the true qualities of this freeride product.
The tail rise is not overly pronounced, so you can easily store the ski in lift racks. It offers fairly good glide.
A ski that truly impressed us, ideal for skiing everywhere. Accessible, balanced, and cohesive. A very good product. Award First.
