At first glance, the Lange RS 130 MV might look a bit intimidating due to its strong racing aesthetic. One might think that it will be painful to wear and difficult to get into. But that’s not the case at all—this Lange RS 130 MV is actually very easy to put on.
It remains comfortable and provides ample space for the feet. There’s no pain in the tibial ridge or around the ankles. The liner is both precise and offers a certain level of comfort.
The boot is very precise, with a true 130 flex. The advanced buckles are easy to handle, even with gloves, and the fit adjustment is fine and precise.
However, like all high-performance boots, the sole is slippery, which is the opposite of Gripwalk. So be cautious on smooth surfaces, such as sidewalks or paved areas.
The Lange RS 130 MV remains relatively waterproof—we say “relatively” because it’s hard to tell whether moisture inside is due to perspiration or a seal defect.
The fluorescent strap might be a bit eye-catching, but that’s just the World Cup heritage shining through.
This is an excellent boot for a skilled skier looking to establish solid pressure points without sacrificing comfort. Award First for this well-developed product.
