We liked the 361° Spire 5 so much that we gave it an award.
The new version—the Spire 6—stays true to the line’s original intent: a great shoe for training or racing without a performance-first mindset. Interestingly, the Spire 6 is €10 cheaper than the previous model, a rare move these days, as most brands are pushing prices up.
This is still the same meticulously crafted shoe, using visually appealing materials. It delivers a high level of comfort, which likely explains its weight—295 grams in size 42.5. As mentioned, it’s not a racing shoe, but a model designed to log miles day in and day out, with an enjoyable ride quality to match.
The 361° Spire 6 combines solid stability with a noticeable energy return. It strikes a balance between bounce and a generous drop—9 mm (19.8 mm forefoot / 29.3 mm heel). More experienced runners might find it a bit too guided, but others will appreciate how easily it rolls forward, with a smooth, assisted transition.
The cushioning isn’t mushy at all—firm under the metatarsals, and nicely balanced in the heel.
Lacing is strong and precise, with great hold. The heel stays firmly locked in place.
A well-designed shoe, carefully built for enjoyable daily runs. Stable and well-cushioned without overdoing it.
