The X-Bionic Ski Touring Perform socks are thin and feature an advanced knit structure that defines various technical zones.
At the base of the toes, heel, Achilles tendon, and lower calf, there is a lightly cushioned material that is soft and plush. It helps absorb impact, reduces fatigue during long ascents, and minimizes hot spots. Notably, the calf area is ribbed to enhance ventilation.
Additional, lighter reinforcements are found on the top of the foot and on both sides of the shin bone. We would have appreciated slightly more padding directly over the shin for better protection.
Ventilated zones help limit perspiration and, when needed, promote fast drying.
The X-Bionic Ski Touring Perform socks are thin and elastic. They are easy to put on, while offering a snug, supportive fit with a mild compression effect that’s beneficial for recovery. Drying time is very fast. Despite the Skin Nodortechnology, some odor may appear during use, but it disappears completely after washing.
Thanks to their composition and construction, these socks are extremely durable. They hold their shape, resist stretching and snagging, and maintain performance after repeated washes at 40°C. They also dry very quickly.
The socks feature ultra-flat seams, which are practically unnoticeable—a real plus for long-duration activities.
Designed specifically for ski touring, they’re also well-suited for hiking, Nordic skiing, snowboarding, and other outdoor sports. However, they aren’t warm enough for very cold conditions.
Technical, form-fitting socks that offer excellent precision—but may lack warmth in colder temperatures.
