We had the chance to test this excellent helmet, which features several unique aspects, including the absence of a rear adjustment system.
We’ll admit it — we were skeptical about this technical choice… and yet… The Kask Titano stays firmly in place thanks to a well-designed shell shape and carefully engineered padding. The weight is evenly distributed and well-controlled, coming in at an average 590 grams for this type of high-end helmet.
Another standout feature is the ventilation system, which can be adjusted between two settings via a slider located at the back of the helmet. Even when open, the Kask Titano remains quite warm — choosing the white version might be a smart move.
The ear pads are designed to protect against the cold, and they do their job well. That said, they do slightly reduce hearing. The bonus: they’re compatible with audio systems such as Cardo. The pads are solidly built and stay firmly attached — unlike on some other models where they can detach. There are also no gaps where cold air could slip through.
The helmet’s outer shell resists small impacts and scratches well. Goggle attachment follows the standard system and works without any issues.
The chinstrap is a classic design with a ratchet adjustment system. You just pull the red strap to release it. The Kask Titano does not feature MIPS technology.
All in all, it’s a great ski helmet for both on-piste and freeride skiing. Carefully constructed, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, it earned our First Test4outside award.
