The Korean manufacturer has put serious effort into the design and aerodynamics of the HJC Furion 3 helmet.
Out on the road, we also noticed its excellent ventilation performance.
Very stylish, with a sleek and inspired design, the HJC Furion 3 is not a time trial helmet.
It’s designed more for versatile road use, with a strong emphasis on performance and aesthetics.
It doesn’t feature MIPS technology; instead, HJC uses a gel called “Slid” inside the shell, intended to manage rotational impacts.
It’s obviously hard to evaluate the real effectiveness of this system, but the build quality is clearly top-notch — from the materials to the fit and finish, everything is extremely well done.
On the head, the HJC Furion 3 is barely noticeable.
The comfort padding does its job well, even though the helmet is built for performance. The padding contains silver ions for antibacterial protection. The weight distribution is excellent, especially when suddenly tilting your head forward — there’s no noticeable weight shift.
While it doesn’t use a Boa system, the rear dial has a short range but allows for secure tightening.
The helmet stays firmly in place and doesn’t shift to the side. It features a classic chinstrap system.
The HJC Furion 3 comes with spare pads and a carrying bag.
A top-tier road cycling helmet with a stunning aerodynamic design — and it’s also well ventilated.
