We previously awarded the first version of the 361° Centauri, and we’re doing it again for the 2025 update—Hot Deal Award for the 361° Centauri 2.
At €130 (compared to €140 for the original), it’s a great deal for runners looking for a solid training shoe that brings comfort and pleasure to every run.
This second version also sheds some weight—down from 288 grams to 250 grams in size 42.5 on our scale.
Out on the road, the 361° Centauri 2 feels a bit more stable than its predecessor. Foot placement is solid, and there’s almost no side-to-side roll. You immediately feel the generous heel cushioning, though it’s noticeably lighter under the forefoot. This cushioning balance feels well-calibrated. Of course, this isn’t a racing shoe—it lacks the aggressive forward rocker and explosive toe-off you’d want for chasing podiums. But the ride remains smooth and fluid.
Comfort is another strong point. The heel collar is especially soft, the lacing offers secure lockdown, and the toe box gives toes enough room to move freely without being tight.
Build quality is excellent, with a seamless upper—as it should be.
