We really liked this 361° Fierce road shoe to the point of awarding it the Good Deal Award, which rewards a very good quality/value for money ratio.
We can search hard for what we can possibly fault them on or just do the long list of all the good points.
Based on our field experience with this 361°, we have no criticisms to make, just comments: this shoe is not designed for performance at all costs even if it remains effective for short distances. 361° has chosen comfort, even if they still have a certain amount of precision and output.
The 361 ° Fierce is a very fluid shoe, with a precise but comfortable envelopment and above all, we benefit from very well-distributed cushioning between the front and the rear of the foot. This cushioning is well spread because it is both filtering (a little) and provides good support on the ground without being too stiff. The foot strike is precise, and you can feel the rebound. The 8mm drop helps with anticipation for runners who are not necessarily comfortable with a forefoot strike or systematically midfoot. Mistakes in foot positioning have no consequences.
The stride is very pleasant, easy, and smooth. The shoe is light at 290g in size 42.5, makes foot positioning easy.
With extremely careful manufacturing and pride of place to the seamless, there are no hard points or rubbing. The foot envelopment is precise. The heel is well looked after, some testers would have preferred a tighter fit around the heel, this varies depending on your body type.
The laces are both quick and precise. We liked the way the laces cross at a slight angle as they grip to keep the tongue in place and ensure that the lace is locked. The tongue is top-notch: its shape, comfort, design, and breathability.
We really like the shoe’s rear lift, which beyond aesthetics makes it easier to put the shoe on. There is a thin reflective band at the heel for night running.
The 361 ° Fierce is an excellent, comfortable shoe, soft in the stride, and very well finished. A very good product for short-distant road running. Receives the well-deserved Good Deal award.
