The Colmar Yuma is a women’s jacket that is both protective and insulating. Filled with down (80% duck down and 20% duck feathers) with a water-repellent treatment.
The membrane lists 15,000 schmerbers with water-repellent treatment respecting the environment.
What’s this jacket like outside? Firstly, it’s very aesthetic, (very) at home on the slopes and in town. Its design, fabrics, technicity are its main assets. The Colmar Yuma is warm without being suffocating because it thermoregulates: is it thanks to the Graphene integrated into the jacket? With its thickness and protection this jacket is highly recommended for cold sessions. We particularly appreciated the quality of the hood and collar. The hood’s shape has a three-point adjustment system. The excess elastic on either side of the face should be folded underneath. It is warm and soft.
The collar is lined with a soft warm fabric. The collar height is ideal protection against the wind and ensures perfect thermal insulation. The chin area has a soft yoke. If the central zip is down a little, your chin touches the big zip it’s a bit uncomfortable.
The back of the Colmar Yuma jacket covers the lower back nicely providing good protection. Even though it has a fitted design you still have room for other (thin) layers underneath. The jacket’s fabric is not stretchy. The Colmar Yuma is windproof and waterproof. We weren’t able to test it in the rain or wet snow.
It has an efficient snow-skirt, and the jacket has simplified interior adjustment system when you don’t use the snow skirt.
The zips are easy to handle but they don’t have little cords to grab. Hands and wrists are protected with a thin fabric layer. Zips on the cuffs allow you to change the volume according to the size of your gloves.
There are two zipped inside breast pockets, a very discreet storage space on the left forearm where you can put a ski pass.
The Colmar Yuma is a very good warm jacket with a membrane. It combines style with technicity. We gave it the Test4outside.com FIRST Award.
