At this price point, the contents are impressively comprehensive: a graduated pot with handle, a frying pan with foldable handle, a lid that doubles as a strainer, a wooden trivet that also works as a cutting board, two mugs, two plates, and two sets of cutlery. Everything packs neatly into a compact carry case.
The design is all about smart simplicity. The handles are sturdy, the non-stick surfaces reduce food adhesion, and the multifunction trivet is a clever touch. We also appreciate the mugs with handles, which make it easy to enjoy a hot drink without burning your fingers.
Weighing in at 1.22 kg (2.7 lbs), this set isn’t ideal for long-distance trekking. It’s better suited to stationary campsites or overnights near a lake or basecamp. Ultralight hikers will want to look elsewhere.
In use, the set performs as expected. The cookware is stable and safe to handle during cooking. The non-stick coating works well but will require some care to avoid scratching.
That said, there are a couple of minor drawbacks: the forks feel a bit too flexible, and the lid doesn’t stay firmly in place when used as a strainer — something to watch out for when draining pasta, for instance.
Packing everything back into the carry case takes a bit of practice, but once you get the hang of it — clip the lid to the frying pan, secure the cutlery, and so on — everything fits neatly.
