This is undoubtedly the most accomplished ski sock in the LCF-Outdoor range — and certainly our favorite for its particularly successful balance of warmth, comfort, and precision.
The LCF-Outdoor Elbrouz EV is made primarily of Merino wool (90%), so it should be washed at 30°C, without fabric softener.
The main distinctive feature of the LCF-Outdoor Elbrouz EV lies in its reverse terry loops, which provide immediate, premium comfort: no friction against the shin. We noticed no creasing and particularly appreciated how easy the sock is to pull on over the foot and calf. The softness of the materials is exemplary — some testers even described it as “plush.”
Warm and extremely comfortable, the LCF-Outdoor Elbrouz EV remains precise despite its reverse terry construction. It does not slip, meaning you maintain solid contact with the ski boot liner. Thanks to its moderate thickness, you feel fewer potential pressure points from the boot liner while still retaining good sensations and warmth.
Meticulously made, this sock leaves nothing to chance: the flat toe seam is exemplary, and the hold around the calf is perfect. Long-term durability at the heel will need to be monitored, but as it stands, this is a flawless product.
An ultra-comfortable, warm, and precise Merino sock — one of the best products in the LCF-Outdoor range. It earns our First Award.
