The Osprey Ultra Light Drysack 30-liter waterproof bag meets several essential criteria: waterproofness, lightness, storage ease, and compactness. As such, at the end of our test on the Marathon des Sables, this product won the Test4outside.com FIRST Award.
This bag keeps your belongings safe from moisture, sand, and dust. At the Marathon des Sables, we used it for our computer and photographic equipment. Its 30-liter volume was enough, but the Osprey Ultra Light Drysack ranges from 3 to 30 liters.
Very light, it doesn’t take up any space as it rolls around the locking system and slides in anywhere and gets forgotten. It’s always ready to go and you don’t hesitate taking it in the bottom of a bag, in your photo bag, or anywhere in the field.
It has a practical very wide opening. The rectangular bag stands upright when full. The closure system serves as a handle (like traditional waterproof bags) making it easy to transport. The closing clip is minimalist, but it does its job well. This bag’s other great quality is the flexible material so you can store or stuff it in a pocket if you’re in a hurry.
The Nylon Ripstop fabric ensures waterproofness and resistance against abrasion and snagging. The whole bag is a great alternative to traditional and rather ‘heavy’ waterproof bags. The Osprey Ultra Light Drysack 30 liters, can be used as an extra bag to protect and/or store your belongings inside another bag.
