The Petzl Dual Canyon Guide is a new adjustable double lanyard, with a fixed arm and an adjustable arm. Easy to use, designed for independent users and guides.
It’s the perfect combo with the Petzl Canyon Guide harness that attaches directly onto the belay attachment point on the harness for limited bulk.
The lanyard is adaptable to any harness with a carabiner. This lengthens the connection with the harness by a few centimeters.
The Petzl Dual Canyon Guide allows progression on a handrail as it has a fixed and an adjustable lanyard the same length enabling easier belaying when passing intermediate anchor points.
At the relay, the adjustable arm means you can adapt the length for optimal support.
As all Petzl adjustable lanyards, we find the Adjust rope adjuster that provides fast and simple one-hand adjustment. The grooves for the fingers on the adjuster could’ve been a little more defined to prevent slipping.
Clipping is made easier by keeping the connectors in position, thanks to the Tanga ring on the adjustable arm and the plastic sheath on the fixed arm.
These plastic sheaths also protect the stitching from abrasion and adjustment under tension of the adjustable arm. The plastic sheath on the adjustable arm is very efficient and easy to hold.
Individual identification marking is available on the plastic sheath to track the equipment throughout its lifespan.
The lanyard is made from dynamic rope to reduce the force transmitted to the user in the event of a short fall. Nylon rope, thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) sheaths, aluminium Adjust rope adjuster, thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) Tanga ring.

Designed for canyoning, the Dual Canyon Guide is an adjustable double lanyard for canyoning. Nothing revolutionary in its design, but efficient and practical. Its quality weave, finishing, protected abrasion points, the Adjust system, and easy handling makes this lanyard ideal for progressing in complete safety.
