The Picture Organic Atlant 22 L backpack isn’t a technical product, it is still very versatile for using in town for a bit of kit instead of using an outdoor pack. That said, we used it fast hiking, the flexible back, small volume and good support along the spine were well appreciated.
It is also very well finished and tough. You would just need to keep an eye on the zips over time as they are quite narrow.
We loved the back’s flexibility lined with a comfortable foam padding, the Picture Organic Atlant 22 L contours your body’s movements. The downside is carrying heavy and hard objects, such as a Thermos flask, that you can feel unless you wrap it in a fleece for example.
The stated volume, 22 liters, seems a little exaggerated, it’s more suitable for a day pack. The shoulder straps are comfortable, breathable, and well designed. As is the waistbelt, which has the same qualities and a good fit. We didn’t like the inverted shoulder strap adjustment that means you have to lift the pack’s weight whilst walking to adjust the straps, but, it does mean that the straps do not slide whilst walking.
The fleece-lined top pocket is very practical for a smartphone or glasses. Unless we missed it – we couldn’t find a key chain.
The Picture Organic Atlant 22 L has a water bladder pocket (not included), which has an efficient and simple attachment system.
We found the Picture Organic Atlant 22 L pack to be good and versatile for simple outdoor activities. Well made, tough, and with classic well-honed technical solutions.
