Rossignol Arcade 94

There’s no doubt about it: the Rossignol Arcade 94 is a solid, well-built ski. It feels loaded with energy and substance underfoot—hefty in the hand and reassuringly powerful on snow. You can tell its designers didn’t cut corners here.

The Arcade 94 features a sturdy, supportive tail that holds strong at high speeds, even on aggressive backfoot pressure. Heavier or more powerful skiers will immediately appreciate this ski’s firm character. The front of the ski is impressively solid as well—there’s virtually no tip deformation, even when the pace picks up and the snow turns hard.

At 94 mm underfoot, it’s decently wide for an all-mountain model, and its rounded shovel shape offers smooth engagement. The edge line wraps elegantly around the tip, and the transparent fiber finish reveals a touch of craftsmanship. The golden colorway is striking, and—of course—Rossignol couldn’t resist showcasing the iconic rooster in the center of the topsheet, though we’re not sure the bird will charm the international market quite as much as the French intend.

The Rossignol Arcade 94 excels in long, fast turns under skilled skiers who like a strong, confident platform underfoot. Edge grip on ice is excellent, stability is first-class, and the ski stays quiet even at top speed—almost regal in its calm authority.

At lower speeds, the Arcade 94 still performs, though you’ll feel some inertia when pivoting. Our test pair was poorly tuned, overly sharp at the tip and tail, which made it feel a bit grabby—but even accounting for that, this ski is fairly directional and precise. On very hard snow, it can occasionally catch and surprise you, especially from the tail. The rubber end cap on the tail can also snag slightly in certain transitions. That said, the powerful tail, combined with a strong, even flex pattern, gives this ski genuine “charger” credentials. On hardpack, it feels absolutely trustworthy.

In shorter turns, it can perform well too—but you’ll have to work for it. Fore-aft balance and good technical control are key; it rewards active, engaged skiing with extension and weight shifts. Relaxed skiers might find themselves overpowered. Glide performance is a touch muted on wet snow.

Off-piste, the Arcade 94 holds its own. It’s stable in chopped-up spring snow and offers solid float for its width. Altogether, it’s a well-conceived, high-quality ski for strong, technically skilled skiers who like to move fast and attack the mountain with confidence.
