The Rossignol Forza 60D V-Ti is perhaps one of our favorite skis in the Rossignol Forza lineup. So much so that we’ve awarded it an Award First. We chose to give it this distinction because it doesn’t feature the excessively pronounced tip that is common in most of the other Forza models. There’s a good balance between the flex, the tip, and the ease of entering a turn, which feels natural and not forced. The rest of the ski is accessible and responsive; the Rossignol Forza 60D V-Ti doesn’t hold the skier back from making any kind of maneuver.
That being said, it’s still a very carving-focused ski, thanks to the relatively large tip. But you can easily bring it back to flat when needed. It doesn’t make the “helicopter” move (slipping out of control) on hard snow or steep slopes.
It’s quite enjoyable in a raised position, with sliding and drifting turns; it doesn’t catch the feet and allows for quick reactions to any situation. It can pick up speed sharply or be skied at a much more leisurely pace.
As soon as you apply some angulation, bring in the knee, and engage the boot tongue, the Rossignol Forza 60D V-Tienters the curve very quickly. It remains a bit oversteering, meaning that as soon as you lean forward, the tip bites and helps the skier engage with the slope.
With a 13-meter radius, it’s particularly versatile—you can change the radius at will. You can play around with it, lengthening or shortening the turns. Even in long arcs, the Rossignol Forza 60D V-Ti performs well. Even with a wide tip, it doesn’t wash out too much. The curve progression is clean, and the ski flows smoothly from edge to edge.
The Rossignol Forza 60D V-Ti also handles well in the spring snow, thanks to its wide tip. At just 75 mm underfoot, this ski requires some lateral balance control.
The edge grip is solid, though not exceptional. The finish quality is top-notch. It delivers a lot in terms of both skiing performance and aesthetics. A good, coherent ski, suitable for advanced to expert skiers.
