SGN is a Norwegian brand, that is produced in … Sweden! Anyway, the SGN HURRUNGANE 101 has a very trendy look. The graphics are done using aerography, creating a very poetically inspired design.
More importantly, do these skis behave well on the snow? They are confidence building on compact snow and built for speed. A talented skier could push these skis hard without fear.
The SGN HURRUNGANE 101 ride well in deep snow and the tips lift out with ease and pivot on a dime. This behavior is encouraged by the pin tail shape. Skidding turns are stable.
A solid flat tail, along with a wide long radius, gives these skis full character and reactivity, especially on compact snow where they kick into their groove and stay in their radius.
These are a freeride dream. So if all you want to do is carve, forget these skis.
The SGN HURRUNGANE 101 are destined for skiers who don’t necessarily have super high technical skills, but who like going fast. They install comfort and confidence on hard snow.
Positive points: Stable at high speed, safe, good absorption of bumpy terrain. Safe on steep slopes.
Negative points: Not designed for short turns, not playful on hard snow. Difficult to vary turns (don’t buy them too big).
The SGN HURRUNGANE 101 skis are without hesitation for going fast freeride, stable and safe.
