We tested this lightweight fleece as a technical base layer and were immediately won over by its high level of comfort. Thanks to its stretch construction, the Renew fleece by Sun Valley naturally adapts to most body shapes and follows movement perfectly, ensuring optimal comfort during activity. The fabric feels soft against the skin while being warm enough to be worn as a first thermal layer. It fully performs its role as a base layer while remaining very comfortable when worn directly next to the skin.
We also noted quick-drying properties, a real advantage during long outings or multi-day trips. After washing, the fabric does not retain odors, which further enhances its suitability for repeated use in sporting conditions.
The feminine, close-fitting cut enhances the silhouette without ever restricting movement. It is subtly highlighted by a clean, elegant white stripe running from one cuff to the other across the back of the neck, complemented by a discreet logo on the left shoulder, adding a refined and understated graphic touch. Simple, stylish, and well balanced.
The zippered collar of the Renew fleece by Sun Valley features a lightweight silver plastic zipper that perfectly matches the jacket’s stylish design. The wide zip opening makes it easy to put on and take off, even while wearing a ski helmet—something we found particularly practical in real-world conditions. Inside, the zipper is backed by a protective flap with a soft chin guard, preventing any uncomfortable friction.
Finally, the high, narrow collar effectively limits heat loss without putting pressure on the neck.
