The L80 is an entry-level headlamp, but it offers so much more in quality. Two light sources, one white and one red, 5 modes of illumination. The max with an 80 lumens power for a beam reach of 40 meters thanks to an additional reflector, and the Eco mode has 5 lumens for a beam of 5 meters. The constant red light mode is for moving around refuges at night and camping or the red flashing mode for rescue. Autonomy varies depending on which mode is used from 60 to 180 hours, which is higher than the average headlamp of this power. Ergonomically it is compact but a bit heavy. One button chooses the different options, simple, one click, one option, another click the next option, etc. No combinations between different buttons to manage and remember, which is a bonus. The button pressed into the casing is a bit “tough” to trigger, particularly with gloves on. It would have been easier protruding a little more. It is perfect headlamp for at home, camping and day hiking. It is a good compromise between power, autonomy and quality/price.
