The Faction Agent 3 has been tested in freerando, but it could just as easily fit into the freeride category when mounted with alpine bindings.
It is a lightweight ski considering its wide shape. It is also very easy, thanks to its rockers in general.
On hard snow, it behaves a bit like a propeller; you feel it lifting a bit both in the front and back, releasing. This is the least fluid aspect of the Faction Agent 3, but nothing prohibitive.
We tested it the day after a snowfall, and all maneuvers in skidding/sliding, with an upright stance, are easy to achieve. One of the great qualities of the Faction Agent 3 is its ability to quickly engage in turns. It’s even slightly oversteering: when making turns off-piste, be cautious, the skis tend to enter the turn quickly, requiring careful control.
It’s a ski we liked because it combines ease and performance. It’s especially a ski that doesn’t transmit much to the legs; it filters a lot. Bumps are handled very well without shaking the skier. The Faction Agent 3 absorbs and allows the skier to remain calm.
A more aggressive skier may find its limits, or alternatively, one needs to be gentle with the Faction Agent 3, letting it slide without trying to mark too much. This is also a quality; there’s no need to bring out the heavy artillery. It’s a pleasant ski at the service of the skier, not tricky.

On the ascent, its weight doesn’t demand excessive effort from the skier; one needs to adjust to the elevation.
Interesting: the drilling indications for the bindings directly marked on the ski… Beautiful logo and a transparency effect.
The tips are beveled, especially pleasant in the tips as they pivot even more easily in deep snow. It has rubber inserts in the heel to protect against wear and shocks. However, beware, the Faction Agent 3 has difficulty standing upright against a wall with its raised heel. Speaking of the heels, they don’t produce too much spray when skiing, a good thing for followers…
The Faction Agent 3 is a good freerando ski that emphasizes skier-friendliness. Stable, balanced, very easy to pivot, it allows you to tackle beautiful untouched slopes with pleasure. It is awarded a First Test4outside.com accolade.
