The Dynastar Speed 4×4 363 Ti Xpress is extremely light on the feet, as well as easy to carry. One wonders how it will perform on the slopes at full speed.
The relatively thinness of the tip and the front rocker are noticeable. This results in shorter edge length and makes pivot turns quite easy, although compared to other skis of this type, some may find it less playful when initiating turns.
Between its rocker and lightweight construction, the Dynastar Speed 4×4 363 Ti Xpress almost feels forgettable. However, it’s not lacking at all when you put it on edge and increase speed. Although it becomes apparent that the front of the ski tends to chatter, and solidity underfoot diminishes as speed increases. Nonetheless, it’s not a dominant ski; it’s enjoyable due to its docility.
An average skier finds in the Dynastar Speed 4×4 363 Ti Xpress an excellent companion. It’s also quite pleasant on spring slush; it almost feels like a small all-mountain ski. It’s very versatile as it can cater to very small skiers as well as more advanced ones. Even though it’s relatively limited in performance, it allows for easy skiing on edge.
The Dynastar Speed 4×4 363 Ti Xpress has a very tapered, somewhat old-school tip that may not appeal to everyone, with a large metal tip protector. Fortunately, the latter is relatively well fitted, not protruding too much or catching.
The Dynastar Speed 4×4 363 Ti Xpress can execute short carved turns, skids, and slides easily. It can lengthen the turn smoothly by shifting weight on the ski, without too much mental strain. However, it’s not certain that an intermediate skier would be comfortable staying constantly in a carved turn and maintaining contact with the snow. As mentioned, all skidded/slided maneuvers are very pleasant. It lacks a bit of an “oversteer” characteristic to instinctively help enter into the turn. It’s perfect for a skier who wants to maintain the turn, who precisely doesn’t want a very modern, oversteering ski that immediately dives into the turn.
A ski well within its range, less oversteering than some skis in this category. A fairly well-made ski, but without any particularly outstanding features. Classic design, straight sidewall ski. Decent glide.
An easy ski, not dominant, not very oversteering. It shines in its accessibility. Limited performance level in line with its intended use.
