Presented with a heavily tinted lens, the Adidas Sport SP0120 goggle is designed for bright, high-light conditions and is particularly effective against high-altitude UV rays. It comes with a second lens for bad weather, in an orange tint. Details and contrast are enhanced for better visibility. We appreciated the optical qualities of this Adidas Sport SP0120. We initially had doubts about how easy it would be to change lenses, as this is always a delicate operation and fastening systems are not always well designed.
We were pleasantly surprised by the magnetic lenses, which attach very securely to the frame. You simply pull on the side of the lens to detach it and swap it. Admittedly, the Adidas Sport SP0120 does not feature a photochromic lens, which would be even more convenient. You do need to change lenses to adapt to changing conditions. But the process is quick, and the lenses dedicated to specific light conditions perform very well.
Fog management is good, as is the field of vision. The foams are quite comfortable. A word of caution: the curved lenses are exposed to impacts when carrying skis in front of you in lift queues.
Worth noting: the fabric pouch for the second lens can be used to cover the goggle when you’re at a restaurant, preventing scratches (with the second lens staying in its own pouch).
The strap grips helmets very securely. Only the length adjustment could be smoother — it takes a bit of effort to slide the buckles.
The goggle doesn’t creak, and there are no annoying noises from the lens-mounting system.
A goggle supplied with two lenses that are easy to swap. The sunny-weather lens is particularly effective.
