The Klättermusen Brage 2.0 Shell Pant follows in the footsteps of the brand’s protective jacket. The same attention to detail in craftsmanship and a noteworthy design are evident. The choice of materials and technical solutions is clear and bold. Additionally, and importantly, there is a commitment to being virtuous in the use of recycled and recyclable materials.
The only downside to the Klättermusen Brage 2.0 Shell Pant is the lack of waterproof zippers on the ventilation openings. In heavy rain or wet snow, moisture inevitably infiltrates. It’s also worth noting the absence of a mesh to prevent snow from entering.
Aside from that, it’s flawless. The cut is well-thought-out. Loose enough to fit potential base layers and, most importantly, it doesn’t hinder movement. The fabric used is stretchable, allowing it to move with the skier.
The wear protections that were noticeable on the jacket are also present on the knees and the lower legs. The traditional Cordura is avoided in favor of an original material reminiscent of waxed fabric.
We love the huge pockets secured with zippers and a flap with a metal buckle (like the central zipper flap on the jacket). It’s not ultra-practical, but it’s aesthetic: you don’t always have to close the buckle…
Another feature we really liked is the suspenders with double adjustment. Unlike, for example, the suspenders on Helly Hansen bibs, the ones on the Klättermusen Brage 2.0 Shell Pant don’t shift: the initial tightening stays in place.
An excellent, very stylish ski pant with an original design. It only lacks waterproof zippers to earn a First Test4outside award.
