This ski was born under a lucky star and clearly deserves a First Test Award from 4outside. Let’s quickly move past the fresh, eye-catching design that makes you want to ski it right away: a slightly psychedelic, colorful creation with a strong 1970s vibe. The colored sidewalls and a beautifully finished base stand out immediately, offering excellent glide both on cold snow and on wet spring conditions—a refreshing change from the sticky feel of the Salomon Stance Pro 86.
The Salomon Addikt Pro 76 is an outstanding everyday ski, delivering efficiency, solidity, edge grip, and smoothness underfoot. It’s a genuine pleasure to ski. The ski provides good energy out of the turn, a touch of rebound, and it adapts easily whether you want to carve with big angles, more moderate edging, or pivot it flat.
It’s light on the feet, yet it has real power. On icy patches, the Addikt Pro 76 shows remarkable grip—when you put it on edge, it holds confidently without slipping. Secure and easy at the same time, a rare combination worth pointing out.
The ski is strong at the front while the tail remains discreet, only showing its presence when you need it. Push on the tail and it responds, rolls smoothly, and offers reliable support exactly when required.
We love its ability to handle short turns, quick slalom-style wiggles, turn/rebound sequences, and moguls. It’s equally comfortable with longer arcs. On edge, it allows for a wide variety of turn radii, except maybe on very hardpack and steep terrain. Overall, it’s a highly versatile ski. It feels like a playful toy, yet it has hidden depth and muscle underfoot.
Design-wise, we should mention the beautiful swallowtail finish—it doesn’t spray snow backward and looks stunning. With its wide shovel, the Addikt Pro 76 flirts with the all-mountain category, even though it’s quite narrow underfoot. You don’t really feel that narrowness, and in soft spring snow it planes well and stays on top.
Note: the stiff tip can be tricky in moguls. The ski doesn’t always absorb bumps smoothly—it tends to kick back if you’re off balance. Still, the Addikt Pro 76 has a construction that generally filters vibrations well, offering comfort without harsh feedback.
The only real misstep is the added metal tip protector, which feels out of place design-wise. Otherwise, the topsheet is impressively durable.
Ski it with precision and it delivers its full potential, but if you just want to cruise, it works too. Never demanding or punishing, it doesn’t lock you into aggressive carved turns with a stiff tail. Instead, it balances accessibility with performance. At first you might think its power is a bit understated, but it’s definitely there—this ski comes highly recommended.
A ski that will happily take you for a ride, easygoing when you want, but immediately responsive when you need it. It offers a wide performance spectrum without ever feeling dominant or difficult. A clear-cut First Test Award, without hesitation.
