We hesitated for a long time before awarding the Adidas Dunamis sunglasses a First Test4outside award. They tick all the boxes for a perfect lens, but some testers would have preferred a more secure fit of the temples. Of course, this depends on individual morphology, but it’s true that over time or when worn on the head, the Adidas Dunamis could be more securely anchored.
Other than that, it’s a perfect score. The sunglasses feature both a stunning design and undeniable optical qualities. The lens has no distortion and, most importantly, no reflections. The nose bridge is completely out of sight, and the comfort is spot on. We tested them with the gray lens (Antique Black), which is very suitable for sunny days. The Adidas Dunamis is also available with red and green lenses. Solar filtration is good, and it handles light and shadow transitions well. The vision is truly panoramic, with nothing obstructing the view.
Sweat runs along the lens and falls off thanks to the beveled lower edge. The Adidas Dunamis is very effective for cycling, as it really protects the eyes from wind. The lens provides excellent coverage of the face, with the edges also well-protected.
The Adidas Dunamis comes in a very practical semi-rigid case. At the listed price of 220 euros, it lacks a fabric pouch to clean the lens and protect it when not using the case.
An XL lens that provides broad protection for cycling, mountain biking, trail running, triathlon, and all outdoor activities. A lightweight, action-oriented pair of sunglasses. A bold design that definitely stands out.
