First Award Test4outside.com for these pants (bib) originally intended for ski touring but also widely suitable for freeride skiing or even on the slopes.
In addition to its great lightweight design, this Arc’Teryx Rush Bib features a very well-thought-out (and stylish) cut. It respects movements during ascents. We particularly like the treatment of the knee area.
Another major highlight is the large waterproof ventilation zippers on the sides equipped with a double slider: nothing new, but they slide effortlessly.
The Arc’Teryx Rush Bib is lightweight, flexible, highly waterproof (Gore-Tex Pro three-layer), and resistant.
The bottom of the legs is reinforced with TPU, and the edges do not mark it. It is designed to withstand crampons; however, we could not test it in this configuration. This reinforcement also remains very flexible.
This Arc’Teryx Rush Bib rises very high but does not hinder breathing as it does not impede the diaphragm area. Wind and snow insulation is ultra-effective.
The suspenders stay in place and are forgettable. The finishes are of very high quality.
A reference in terms of ski touring pants: cut, waterproofness, breathability, resistance… everything is there. Award First Test4outside.com without hesitation.
