This Armada ski was a nice surprise. Good speed and good sensations for the first turns in deep powder. It’s stable and intuitive at initiating turns and the turn radius in our test terrain sprinkled with branches and roots passed smoothly, no problem.
Riding into tracked snow and bumps you can stay relaxed, as the Armada Tracer 98 is happy. Some flex and the ski’s cushioning do the rest. You don’t want to stop!
On hard snow you need a little more effort to get the edges to bite and once in the turn it carries out an average size radius. If you use a bit more pressure and angle it bites better and closes the radius. If needs be you can whisk it sideways and slow down even at full speed. This is a great ski that doesn’t have any weak points and is a comfortable ride.
