This is an excellent boot that is lightweight AND that disengages, with a 130 flex. It has a super precise fit for a narrow foot. The inner sock fits snugly to the shell.
Your anklebone could easily be in contact with the shell but it depends on your anatomy.
The anklebone is less enveloped than the Nordica and reserved for a narrow forefoot: 98mm. Some good news, you can thermoform the shell and the inner sock is machine washable.
The buckle system is very efficient and does not crush the shell and provoke pressure points. The hooks are easy and pleasant to use.
The ultra wide tightening strap is lighter than the Nordica. The lateral pressure is transferred with precision.
Changing from the walk-ski position is done by using a well-designed metallic lever that has a memory spring. The lever has a strap attached to it but it isn’t very easy to grab with gloves on. To return to walk mode you need to make sure you are well centered and pull the strap. We have used more efficient systems. The 54° inclination is well dosed you can walk easily and the 130 flex is easily forgotten, perfect for searching out those slopes with freerando skis…
Last but not least, the anti-slip sole is excellent and with Low Tech inserts. A boot that is very precise on snow that allows powerful riding leaning back but also laterally. It is a very versatile product with which you can do almost anything from piste skiing to freerando.
